Therapist/Founder

I’ve spent over 20 years in the mental health field, working with a wide range of clients in settings including homes and schools, adolescent shelters, outpatient substance abuse treatment, and non-profit mental health counseling.

My clinical focus includes depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, life transitions, stress and burnout, and substance use and recovery. As a certified alcohol and drug counselor, I also support clients navigating co-occurring mental health and addiction concerns.

I particularly enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate students who are navigating academic pressure, identity development, and major life transitions.

Every person’s journey is unique, and I aim to provide a space where you can be real, be seen, and find clarity without pretention.

My Approach In Session

Life is messy, and therapy shouldn't make it feel more complicated. I’m here to offer a space that feels like a real-world conversation. We’ll skip the stiff clinical jargon and focus on what’s actually happening in your day-to-day life. My goal is to build a trusted relationship where you can be completely honest—humor, frustrations, fears, and all—while we find approaches that actually work in your real life.

What you can expect:

Engaged & Direct
I won't just nod and listen. Expect honest feedback, thoughtful questions, and a gentle challenge when you need one. We go where the conversation needs to go, even when it's uncomfortable.

Authentic & Present
I show up as a real person in the room. Being present means meeting you where you are — and sometimes that means laughing together as much as it means sitting in the hard stuff.

Collaborative & Transparent
This is your space. We talk openly about what’s working, what isn’t, and how the process feels. You bring your story, I bring my training — we work it out from there.

Whole-Person Focus
We look beyond symptoms. Your relationships, environment, history, strengths, and values all matter. Growth isn’t about quick fixes — it’s about sustainable shifts that fit your real life.

Grounded & Human
My style is intentionally relaxed because the realest version of you shows up when you're comfortable. My office is a low-pressure space where you can show up as you are — tired, unsure, guarded, hopeful. This is a professional space — but you'll always feel like a person in it, not a patient.
